Why it exists
Many budgeting tools are built for America: "biweekly paychecks", 401(k)s and US dollars. Australians get paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly, pay rent weekly, pay rego yearly and get hit by quarterly bills. Planaroo turns all of that into one number per pay, so you can see what's actually left.
How your numbers are kept private
The app runs on your own phone or computer. What you type in is saved on that device only. It isn't uploaded to us or to anyone else. There's no account, no password and no bank login. The trade-off is that if you delete the app or clear your browser, your numbers go with it, so the app lets you download a backup file.
How the tax is worked out
Take-home pay is estimated with the ATO's 2026-27 resident tax rates, the low income tax offset and the Medicare levy (using the latest published low-income thresholds). Rates were checked against ato.gov.au in September 2026. It's an estimate for budgeting. If your payslip shows something different, type in your real take-home and the app uses that.
